Thank you Lunch

I was thrilled to be invited to the very first “Thank you lunch” by Richard Taylor, Executive Director of Fundraising & Marketing at Cancer Research UK on Tuesday 26th June at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, London. Guests enjoyed drinks on the beautiful Grand Staircase followed by a wonderful three course meal in The Quarters, which overlooks the site of CRUK exciting new build project called the Francis Crick Building. There were only 28 committees present of which there are over 800 in UK and I was one of only two supporters from Scotland and to be invited and which was a real honour.
Also, it just happened to be on the same day at The Spice Girls were launching their Musical “Viva Forever” in the same hotel, and Victoria Beckham said Hi to me !! Woo Hoo, well chuffed. I actually thought the ”paps” were for me! haha
It was a fabulous day, really great to be in London before the Olympics to see the hoops in Kings Cross and the stadium from the plane. I would to thank Cancer Research UK big bosses for inviting me, but most of all I would like to thank you our supporters for raising so much money for the charity that we are up there with the best committees in the UK.
